dear PEACE,
since you abandoned our homes and towns, we survive everyday with only fleeting memories of your good deeds. hope has kept us deceived that you are just a few wishes away.
but each day that suns, it seems prospects are dimming.
the blood we never knew that we now smile at, the terror we only ever saw on the news in Lebanon, Afghanistan, South Sudan, Iraq, Kosovo is our daily companion.
all sorts and forms of social harassment and cohesion constitute the daily routine of millions of innocents.
wanton violence and gruesome death has elected domicile in the soul of our lives.
tears have lost their strength and use. belligerents grow happier and calmer with every new news reel of casualties and corpses.
EVERYONE is looking (arm-folded) at this on slot. not even the plight and misery of thousands of innocent children, helpless women and fragile old people lodged permanently in the pits of thick forests moves ANYONE – even you.
as injustice and favour-motivated-justicing continue to conquer legal systems and organizations choose lip service over humanitarian dedication and duty, we wait only for last half hearted promises of those that hold the key to TRUE PEACE.
if real hearts exist anywhere in their being, we implore you not to miss targets today.
this is the umpteenth unheard prayer since the….
